Recently, the Global Investment Forum for Peace & Prosperity (GIFPP) was successfully held at the InterContinental Bangkok, Thailand. The event gathered nearly 300 distinguished delegates from 14 countries and territories, including government leaders, global experts, investors, entrepreneurs, and international media.

A highlight of the forum was the official inauguration of 9S UNION – The Global Economic Union, marked by a ceremonial launch led by Prof. Dr. Martin Spraggon Hernandez (Strategic Advisor to the Governments of Dubai and Abu Dhabi), President of 9S UNION, and national representatives from 12 countries.
From Vision to Legacy: Turning Ideas into Impact

In his opening keynote, Mr. Abraham Nguyen Quang Huy, Chairman of the National Startup Investment Fund (VNSIF) and Co-Chairman of GIFPP, declared:
“GIFPP is not just a conference — it is a global movement. Here, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship converge with social responsibility to address urgent global challenges: climate change, poverty, inequality, and crises in education and healthcare. No single country or institution can solve these alone. Our planet is crying out — it needs us to build together, in love, for peace and shared prosperity.”
He emphasized the need to shift investment paradigms — from short-term profits to long-term stewardship; from financial gain to social responsibility. He called for bold action in strategic fields such as AI, IoT, Blockchain, Fintech, clean energy, smart infrastructure, education, and health — and most importantly, to empower Generation Z, the inheritors of our planet, through innovation, entrepreneurship, and faith-based education.
Innovation for Sustainable Development
Two major sessions were held at the forum, focusing on:
• Innovative Entrepreneurship aligned with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
• Disruptive Technologies for Social Impact Investments

The plenary session, titled “Innovative Entrepreneurship & the SDGs – A New Pathway to Sustainable Development”, was chaired by Prof. Dr. Martin Spraggon Hernandez, Strategic Advisor to the Governments of Dubai & Abu Dhabi, and Co-Chair of GIFPP. The session sparked meaningful conversations.

Mr. Roger Leitner, President of the Swiss–ASEAN Chamber of Commerce and Co-Chair of GIFPP, noted:
“Switzerland is committed to promoting a human-centered investment ethos — where innovation not only drives returns, but unlocks opportunity for communities and the planet.”

Dr. Praveen Maghelal (Government of Abu Dhabi) shared practical models of impact-driven innovation in the UAE, highlighting the integration of green finance with frontier technologies.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Trung, President of the Vietnam Linguistic Association and Vice President & Secretary General of the Vietnamese Overseas Affairs Association, spoke on the critical role of the global Vietnamese diaspora:
“Today, over 6 million Vietnamese live in more than 130 countries and territories — most in developed nations and holding strategic positions. With over $20 billion in annual remittances, they are an untapped force for sustainable investment, economic diplomacy, and cross-border development — all aligned with the SDGs and the vision of global peace and prosperity.”
Frontier Tech for Global Impact
In the second session, themed “Harnessing AI, Blockchain, Fintech for Impact Investment”,
Dr. Dinh Viet Hoa, President of the Vietnam National Startup Association, emphasized:

“Global entrepreneurship is more than an economic opportunity — it is a powerful engine of social transformation, especially when driven by ethical and advanced technologies.”

Dr. Praveen Maghelal, Policy Advisor to the Abu Dhabi Government, added:
“We must turn vision into real-world projects — supported by public policy and smart capital. I encourage other nations to learn from the UAE’s innovation model and localize it effectively.”
International Collaboration in a Fragmented World
A major highlight of the forum was the official launch of 9S UNION – The Global Economic Union, with representatives from 12 nations signing the Declaration of Commitment to co-develop the alliance.

The Founding Commitment Ceremony was led by Prof. Dr. Martin Spraggon Hernandez, Co-Founder and President of 9S UNION, underlining its mission:
“To take real, effective, and measurable action toward the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.”
9S UNION aims to connect investors, startups, corporations, and governments globally to build an open innovation ecosystem — supporting breakthrough ideas and sustainable business models. The initiative is expected to fuel cross-border collaboration, spark innovation, and spread human-centered investment values worldwide.

Also at the event, 12 MOUs (Memoranda of Understanding) were signed, with national and organizational partners from ASEAN, UAE, Africa, and Europe. These focus on 10 strategic projects addressing education, health, poverty eradication, quality of life, clean energy, and emerging technologies — all rooted in human dignity and peacebuilding.
Cultural Diplomacy and Creative Partnership

In a heartfelt cultural highlight, a Multinational Gala for Peace & Prosperity featured vibrant cultural performances. A deeply moving moment was the presentation of the music project “Heart of the Earth – One Family, One World”, composed and nurtured for over two decades by artist A Tuân. The project received investment and partnership commitments from 9S UNION, VNSIF, and other institutions to co-develop global music and cultural diplomacy initiatives — honoring and promoting ethnic identity, creativity, and peace.
